This safari offers visits to a contrasting trio of parks, the Shaba National Reserve, Lake Nakuru and finally the journey culminates with three nights in the world famous Masai Mara. Your Safari Vehicle

Safari vehicles are driven by expert driver/guides, who have extensive knowledge of the regions and wildlife. The above Safari itineraries unless stated will be travelling in the Somak microbuses. The Somak microbuses in Kenya have game viewing hatches (accessible from the rear seats) and are equipped with a cool box for you to store your drinks. All Kenya safaris, unless otherwise indicated, use a maximum of seven seats, thus guaranteeing you a window seat. For your privacy, you may request the use of an exclusive vehicle for yourself and your companions. Four-wheel drive vehicles are available for a supplement and seat up to five or seven passengers (all with window seats) and have game viewing roof hatches. Tanzania safaris operate using 4-wheel drive vehicles accommodating five or seven passengers.

Loisaba Lodge/Loisaba Star Beds, Laikipia

A working cattle farm, in untamed bush, boasting views that extend for hundreds of miles to Mount Kenya, the Lolldaiga Hills and the Mathews Range. The Loisaba lodge is situated at the edge of an escarpment overlooking the Laikipia Plateau. A twenty minute drive from Loisaba Lodge are the ‘Star Beds’, which provide a unique opportunity to sleep out on thatched platforms under the stars and are hosted by local Masai. Situated on the border of Laikipia and Kenya’s rugged Northern Frontier District and only a few miles from the equator. 7 rooms with en suite bathrooms, set on the escarpment with a private deck. Kiboko Star Beds are located among a kopje of rocks in one of the eastern valleys overlooking the ‘Kiboko’ waterhole. Kioja star beds are situated over the river and are reached by footbridge from the opposite bank. Note: The Loisaba Lodge is closed during May. The Star Beds are closed during May and November.

Loldia House, Lake Naivasha

Nestling under the acacia and wild fig trees on the green western shores of Lake Naivasha, the present Loldia House was constructed by Italian prisoners of war, from stone quarried on the farm. Built around a courtyard, its main archway frames a stunning view of the dormant volcano Mount Longonot. An old farmhouse on a ranch of the northwestern part of Lake Naivasha.
